The Gates Hotel sits comfortably on the water in South Beach, Miami. This hotel was historically renovated from its original glory to a unique, modern getaway. Along with improving the existing façade, an eight-story tower was added to the facility. The hotel now contains 239 guest rooms and a third story rooftop deck area. Among the renovations was the in-house restaurant and pool deck bar. An exoskeleton system was used to maintain support of the existing building during the selective demolition and reconstructing process. The 693-foot canal wall surrounding the hotel was also part of the restoration process.
