Gateway Concourse
Plaza Construction was awarded a preconstruction contract from Onyx Equities to for extensive renovations of the Gateway Center in Newark, NJ. This project included the modernization of three of the Gateway Centers building lobbies, extensive renovation of the Concourse, a half mile long tenant walkway connecting the buildings of the complex, and the addition of a new grand Jewel Box entrance to the Gateway Center. The Jewel Box is a state-of-the-art entrance way facing the historic Newark Penn Station which will serve as the new grand entrance to Newark and connect the city to the newly renovated lobbies of Class A office space, and over 100,000 square feet of newly added retail/dining options located on the Concourse in what is know as The Junction. This renovation serves as a cornerstone to the revitilzation of downtown Newark linking the newly renovated Class A office towers and retail/dining spaces to the surrounding community.
