UBS Lobby
299 Park Avenue,
New York, NY

UBS wanted to re-establish their presence on Park Avenue as well as improve the level of customer service by creating a separate, branded lobby reception area at their 299 Park Avenue office. Visitors can bypass building security and enter the through the UBS entrance leading to a private and comfortable UBS reception area.

The 8,000 square foot reception space is designed with warm colors and dark wood. Deep reds and creamy whites make up the dominant color palette, drawing associations to the UBS brand colors and logo. The main visual element of reception is a 10' x 10 x 10' lighted steel and glass cube which hangs centrally above the seating area. The UBS logo is illuminated from all 4 sides of the cube, creating strong branding relating back to the square UBS logo signage in each of the elevator lobbies.

Two 14' x 22' suspended bronze screens create a decorative foil over the street level windows, obscuring the view of outside traffic and providing guests with privacy. The screens bear a pattern of interlocking squares, tying in again to the square logo theme, The screens are double height, extending to the mezzanine floor above. A state of the art video conferencing room is located on the mezzanine as well as three guest computer stations.

A giant media wall composed of 24 linked screens is located at one end of reception. News programs such as CNN and CNBC are displayed during the day, followed by UBS commercials and merchandising at night.
