1345 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY

Occupying the entire block front between 54th and 55th Streets in Midtown Manhattan, 1345 Avenue of the Americas is a 50-story building towering 600 feet above one of New York City's main office thoroughfares. Completed in 1968, this project has office footage exceeding one million SF. The garage in the building can accommodate several hundred cars. The building contains a movie theater and a demonstration hall where a textile mill has been installed, 1/3 actual size. The building was well-known as the Burlington House and was renamed The Alliance Capital Building.

The building recently has undergone some major changes, allowing it to more easily meet the challenges of the 21st century. These include a $4 million generator installation, a $4 million lobby renovation and a $2 million new cooling tower and riser system.
