Plaza Construction Expands in Washington, D.C.

New York, NY – August 20, 2012 – Plaza Construction’s Washington, D.C. office is expanding to meet the growing demand from clients for services on a wide variety of new projects across all market sectors including multifamily, hospitality, office and mixed-use.  These new additions to the Plaza organization will enhance Plaza’s reputation and commitment to construct every project safely to a very high level of quality and to complete it on-time and within budget.

The new arrivals and their respective roles are:  David L. Wysong, a veteran with 39 years of construction experience is leading Field Operations; Daniel Hardnock with 18 years of experience is leading Preconstruction and Estimating; Peter Ege with 13 years of experience is leading Project Management; and Sean Murphy with 9 years of experience in Estimating.

“We are very excited about expanding as the market accelerates and the economy begins to recover,” said Daniel Peyton, head of the Washington office, who added that 2012 is an exceptionally active year for Plaza, with numerous projects breaking ground this year and in 2013.

“David, Peter, Daniel and Sean are all highly motivated, talented, consummate professionals who complement and fortify our existing staff, enabling us to take on a wide diversity of new and challenging projects in the Greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.  We are delighted to welcome this talented foursome to Plaza and wish them continued success.”

Before joining Plaza, Mr. Wysong oversaw a variety of significant projects for Turner Construction including the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Ashburn, VA, and major work at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD.  He attended North Dakota State, Towson University and the University of Maryland University College.

Mr. Ege ascended to the level of Project Executive with James G. Davis Construction Corporation prior to his new post with Plaza.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Before joining Plaza, Mr. Hardnock was Director of Preconstruction for James G. Davis Construction Corporation, preparing estimates from the conceptual phase of design for projects ranging from $1 million to $500 million.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia.

Prior to joining Plaza, Mr. Murphy served as a lead estimator with Grunley Construction, evaluating projects valued from $5 million to $100 million and ranging in product type from new construction to historic renovation.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and is currently completing an MBA degree at George Mason University.
